Complete this process before you fill in the online deposit form. Please note that to create your PDFs and complete the deposit process may take 20 – 30 minutes.
If you have Word 2007 and onwards you can convert your Word Document to a PDF file using the Save As option. Choose PDF from the save as type drop down menu.
If you have trouble converting your thesis to PDF please reach out to the Library at researchcommons@waikato.ac.nz for assistance.
If your work includes supplementary material such as images, sound or movie files and data that are separate from the text of the main thesis, please deposit them along with your thesis document. It is best to name these files with a descriptive name, for example, fishdata.xls. Multiple files can also be included in a .zip format. Research Commons supports most file formats. To deposit your thesis, follow the instructions below:
Log into Research Commons
Select the Theses community
Select either Masters Degree or Higher Degree collections
Click deposit and complete the form
Please log in using your Waikato student email address. When completing your submission, be sure to include an email address that you check regularly for updates on your submission status (in the preferred email address field) as your student email address will be deactivated at a later date. University staff will review the information you provide after you submit the form. For more details about this process, please refer to Thesis Submission: After Submission.
