Author's First Name and Last Name, Title of Play, ed. by Editors First Name and Last Name (if appropriate), Edition name/number (if appropriate) (Place of Publication, Publisher, Date), Act. scene. line.

  • Use the Act, Scene and Line number as it appears in your edition.
  • If you refer to the editor's words or ideas, use editor name in place of playwright.

First Footnote

  • Refer to well known [classic] works by title, or, where multiple performances of same play are being discussed, by director.

Notes

  • Use the uploader's name as the author, even if they did not create the video.
  • If there is also a username, provide this in square brackets. If the uploader's name is not clear, simply use their username and omit the brackets.
  • To cite a direct quote from audio visual material, include a 'time stamp' in the in-text citation. This refers to the time that the quote started.
